  this is sort of a take-off of the "what should the wt do" thread.. i need to get together a board of directors and elect a president and officers.

  we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.

  we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.

  How will Gen-Xers contribute to the fall of WTBS?

  is it because we're a cynical lot?.

  maybe because we were the first generation of latch-key kids who learned how to raise ourselves?.

  what is it that makes it so 'hard to lie to a gen xer?

  I think you will see the society move more and more towards earlier baptisms since baptized witnesses have much less freedom to move out of the org without substantial consequences.---joelbear

  any earlier than the current average age of baptisms and they just may as well dunk 'em in right from birth

  i remember kids getting dunked at the age of 12 and even earlier in a few of the towns that i lived in. . . .

  The Breakfast Club was more than poptarts
  The Ratpack invaded the theaters
  Miami was a vice
  Bauhaus/Peter Murphy sang Belalogosi is Dead
  Ronald Reagan was president
  Americans were afraid of the Russians and vice versa/cold war
  Politics were heavy in music lyrics, ie. U2
  Morissey and Johnny Marr started the Smiths. . . .

  it seems like to me the majority of people who are in the truth, are were in the truth was a result of either a family member are a friend witnessing to them and not many seem to have been found in the door to door work.. from my years of associating with the borg i cannot recall many coming in the truth from the door to door work.. how were you sucked in?

  for me it was my aunt who has now even though i am not disfellowshipped decided to write me out of her will to the tune of about $150,000.00 (maybe i should hang around a couple more years)dont think i will.. please respond .

  1972 my mom was conned at the door,
  she had just finalized her divorce from my dad and was snagged during an emotional low. I was 2 years old at the time so for all practical purposes i was raised as a dub. In 1976 she married some shmuck that had just been assimilitated and he slowly and gradually moved up the ranks in the hall. Thus preventing me from making the break for it in my teen age years.

  if i gave you a hard time or was a wise ass it was only because of the way things were said, it takes a while to know personalities around here, yeah i prolly took things a bit too far but that is the charm of being human. . .

  by and by, i appreciated the physics intro, i used to fall asleep in class cause it was too early (7:30am, high school, senior year) throw into the mix that the world was going to end at any given second and it made up for a highly aloof personality. . . .profs name was Londonio had a really thick columbian accent, brilliant and boring at the same time,
